I followed the example of some fellow scrappers (idols) and created a template from one of my recent LOs. The template was quick to make, but it takes me forever to remember how to make the preview, zip it and get it uploaded to 4 shared. Maybe as I do it more, it will become second nature and much faster :) Anyway, enjoy this template freebie!

I hope I did everything right!! If you have any problems, let me know.

Got another LO done yesterday. I'm not too speedy these days. But I go in spurts. So as long as I can keep getting a couple LOs done each week, sooner or later another wave of creativity will come over me and I'll get tons done :) At least that's what I'm hoping!

This was just a flower template that I've had for quite some time and still hadn't used. Does that ever happen to you? You kind of forget what you have?? I'm super frugal so I want to use EVERYTHING I pay for.

{Spec}tacular

Aren't they cute? I'm know I'm quite partial but they are just too sweet for words for me. Halle keeps forgetting to wear her glasses to school. I'm glad it's not effecting her school work but I really want her to get into the habit of putting them on each day. (I just now looked over at her and had to remind her to put them on) Her eye test clearly showed she needs them but she seems to get along fine without them too. I think Raegan's going to help me out a little and remind in the mornings to put them on. Maybe between the two of us.

Spencer had his first football game last night. It actually was just a scrimage and against his own team so he teased that it was just another practice. But parents could come out and watch their sons play the different positions. Next week starts real games and I'll start shooting them for the website again. I'm excited! I had a lot of fun last year and learned A LOT about sports photography. Zach got his info for cross country yesterday too. He wants to play fall baseball and run cross country at the same time this year. I told him he could, as long as he keeps his grades up.

Well, my last post said how much I love routine and especially school routine. And I do. I just need to remember that as the routine starts to get more and more busy!!

Ta-ta!!

The kids are back in school!! Hallelujah!! I LOVE routine. And school routine just seems to make everything else fall into place. I even restarted my excersize routine this week and OMGosh I am so sore!! I'm having a hard time standing up from a sitting position. But I even love this :) I know it's for a good cause.

Haven't scrapped a whole lot the last few days. A girlfriend came over this morning and we scrapped the Tuesday Template together. It took me a long time to finish it but I'm pretty happy with it. It's kind of general but as they say... not every LO has to be a masterpiece :)

At the Kid Wash

This is my nephew giving my daughters a good soaking during a lull at our car wash fundraiser at church. Unfortunately, it seemed like we had more time to play than wash cars. But the kids had fun :)

That's it for now... I'm hoping to have some more time to scrap tomorrow :)

Blessings!

I combined two challenges over at Scrap Matters to make one fun (imo) LO!! I used the template from the Tuesday Template Challenge and used a clever title from the Saturday Special and came up with a LO I love!

Bottoms Up

There's also another fun Speed Scrap going on this Tuesday. I'm so bummed I won't be able to be there. It's Halle's (youngest dd) birthday and we've also made Tuesday our weekly dinner with Grandma Sandi (mil). The speed scrap starts at 6pm pacific time and that's usually about what time we start dinner. Who knows... maybe the instructions will be easy enough, I'll be able to eat dinner, open presents and get a LO done in about 1/2 an hour???? We'll see :)

Good Intentions

Sometimes things just don't go as planned. I had such plans for yesterday and much of it involved scrapping :) Unfortunately, those plans were changed for me. A few days ago my youngest daughter, in full spirit of the Olympic games, was doing some tumbling on her bed. She didn't quite fall off but ended up rolling off and twisting her arm in a way it wasn't supposed to. Her doc originally thought it was just a torn muscle but after a few days of some pretty bad pain he sent us for x-rays and we found out it is, in fact, broken. Needless to say, we've spent the last couple days running around getting x-rays, picking up films, seeing the orthopedic doc, etc. She's doing fine, just doesn't get to play fall baseball this year. Dad's not happy about that one. They don't even cast for a break in the humurous. Just sling it and let it heal. Our bodies are really amazing.

I just bought this beautiful kit by Britt-ish Designs over at Scrap Matters -

Fairchild

Isn't it beautiful? If you buy the kit during this first week you get the coordinating brag book for free. Great deal! I can't wait to start playing. I'm making some more plans for scrapping tomorrow. Let's see if these come through!!

Blessings!

Recent Layouts

There have been so many fantastic challenges going on in the Scrap Matters forums. I've been able to enter all twelve of the challenges during the Opening Events... and better yet, I won two of them!! I was so excited!

I won with this one for the Scrap It In a Day Challenge offered by Dacia. You were supposed to scrap about a habit of yours... good or bad. Well, I think taking tons of pictures is a good habit while my kids think it's a terrible one. But the layout turned out nice.

I won with this next one during Britt's Triathalon challenge. There needed to be three pics, three papers, three buttons and it needed to be completed in three days.

It's Halle & Daniel Keeler playing a little duet on the piano. Aren't they cute?

Then we had a great Speed Scrap last night hosted by Neeceebee (Denise). These still scare me a little, but I'm finding that I like the LO's I come out with.

Yes, these pics are a couple years old but I DID skip all of 2005 and most of 2006. I just hated being so far behind all the time. And I actually kind of like having these pics to fall back on for the challenges. Last night's speed scrap called for one picture and you had to be in it. I don't think I have any pics of me I haven't scrapped yet from this year. So I was able to go back and look in 2005 :) Convenient, right?? There are so many great LO's in the gallery - you should go check them out. They are great inspiration.

That's all for now. I'm still trying to figure out everything this blog can do. Hopefully I'll figure out some more cool stuff soon. I might be back later to post some more recent LO's.

Alpha Freebie

So I needed a white tile alpha recently and couldn't find exactly what I was looking for. I ended up using something else but thought I'd see if I could create one. I think it turned out pretty well :) Anyway, thought I should post it and try to get used to the whole blog thing. I'll be trying my hand at some more designing, so stay tuned.

Starting a Blog - eeek!

So here I am jumping on the blog bandwagon. And I must say... I'm kind of excited :) I'm going to apply for a CT at my favorite scrapsite http://www.scrapmatters.com/ and you're supposed to have a blog. It really is a good idea. Now the many people I email each week with news of the family and latest scrap LO's can all come to this convenient location. I'll be posting my latests LO's, maybe some news on the family and of course, promoting ScrapMatters events. So come check me out once and a while.
